Estimator | Customer Service | Sales

This varied role will be responsible for processing technical quotations, editing orders, providing exceptional customer services and order management for all accounts and end customers.

Responsibilities

• To be the first point of contact for all incoming customer calls for enquiries, sign posting or advice.

• Respond to emails using relevant and bespoke templates when appropriate. Construct concise, grammatically correct content with the use of professional language and terminology.

• Communicate with colleagues internally to ensure that knowledge of certain jobs are shared or escalated as per internal processes, or when there is planned absence.

• Using exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, build strong customer relationships and rapport with designated accounts.

• Chase and check back with customers within designated time frames.

• Keep customers advised of any changes along with gathering feedback.

Technical / Administrative

• Prepare bespoke quotations for customers from the information provided.

• Edit quotes and orders to reflect any required changes as a priority.

• Identify any priorities within shared and personal inboxes in an appropriate and timely manner.

• Have an awareness of accounts and proforma processes.

• Follow the internal drawing process map, inclusive of reading, cleaning, and amending technical drawings.

• Collate and appropriately label folders for the Auditing department.

• Work through jobs on query, these should be dealt with immediately and advise the Auditing department as per the process.

    • Excellent customer handling skills and experience with a strong focus towards achieving exceptional customer service.

    • A confident, self-motivated team player, who is aware of their role within the team.

    • Excellent telephone manner who can handle customers from a range of industries, levels, background, and personality types.

    • Strong inter-personal skills, being comfortable and able to communicate effectively at all levels from the shop floor to the executive – internally and with our customers.

    • Strong problem-solving ability and experience of seeing solutions through to completion.

    • A good understanding of general sales skills and the ability to read technical drawings.

    A highly motivated individual with confidence to voice and implement new and creative ideas to achieve success.

Team Tasks

• Training and support for colleagues and new starters.

•Administrative tasks to support the functionality of the department.

• Delivery and courier support/issues, raise claims with courier companies and escalate any major issues for sign off.

• Support business development requirements

• To promote and generate sales

• Drive to achieve individual and departmental goals.

• Contribute to the kaizen of processes internally, offering potential solutions where issues are identified.

• To have an awareness of personal conversion rates, team conversions, quote numbers, preventative recuts and recuts.
