Laser Cutting Technology

Laser cutting has become the gold standard for producing high-quality metal parts with tight tolerances and smooth edges. We have refined our skills and continue to invest in technology. We have an innovative approach to new cutting methods and continuously work to explore the next best techniques.

We use high-quality materials in sheet sizes up to 3000mm x 1500mm. We can process parts up to a maximum of 2980mm x 1480mm within tight tolerances, in a range of materials in thickness from 0.5mm all the way up to 40mm using a combination of nitrogen and oxygen gas mixes to achieve excellent precision and edge quality.

We have 2x Trumpf 24kw L76 5030’s and 3x Trumpf 12kw L76 5030’s which run 18 hours a day, along with some lights out operation thanks to our Lift Master Compacts.

What we do differently at Lasered Components

Laser cutting is a highly efficient process that can quickly and accurately cut through various types of sheet metal. This results in faster production times and lower costs which we can pass onto our customers.

The team rigorously reviews our lean operational methods throughout, from point of quote to final quality checks without ever compromising quality, and to ensure great and consistent lead times. We strive to achieve above 96% for an on time delivery service every month.

Laser cutting can be used to cut a wide range of materials and grades, including stainless steel, aluminium, copper, RaeX, Corten, brass and more. This versatility makes it a suitable choice for various applications across different industries.

We have excellent relationships with our trusted material suppliers and focus on sourcing the best materials for the job. We house approximately between 500 and 700 tonnes on site at any given time to ensure our customers demand can be met without delay.

Laser cutting offers unmatched precision, allowing for intricate designs and complex patterns to be cut with minimal error. Our experienced team of Estimators and Auditors want to understand every project so that we can be equally invested in the small details as our customers are.

Laser cutting produces clean, burr-free edges that requires minimal post- processing. This results in high-quality components that meet the most stringent quality standards. We provide full traceability on our materials and operate transparently with full supplier documentation available.

Upon appointment, we can offer a full in-house tour of our Braintree, Essex site and an opportunity for customers to have a hands on learning experience in production. See our ACCREDITATIONS.

Nesting in laser cutting is the optimisation of placing multiple parts within a single sheet of material. Sheet utilisation involves maximising the usage of the entire material sheet by strategically placing parts in an optimal way. This approach reduces material waste and enhances the overall efficiency of the laser cutting process.

By combining high end software with experienced eyes, we are able to achieve effective nesting techniques, leading to optimum productivity, and can achieve a more sustainable production process, enabling us to pass on significant savings to our customers. Find out about our technology

Continuous Improvement & Training

Continuous improvement and staff training is crucial, we are invested not only in technology, but our team too. We have several process in place for key knowledge sharing internally, this supports the consistency in our approach to all customers and ensures a lean operation.

Investing in staff training not only keeps employees knowledgeable about the latest technologies and techniques, but also helps in maintaining a skilled workforce. This results in superior product quality, increased customer satisfaction, and a competitive edge in the market.

Our dedication to excellent customer service sets us apart from competitors. We provide clear communication, transparency, and updates throughout to ensure a positive experience.
