Our Technology

We constantly reinvest in technology in order to provide the best service and end product to our customers.

Our laser cutting process is highly automated, we run a combination of Trumpf 5030 12KW and 24KW machines, in conjunction with three Lift Master Compacts which caters for our growing client base while still maintaining our excellent lead-times.

Our laser cutting process is highly automated, we run a combination of Trumpf 5030 12KW and 24KW machines, in conjunction with three Lift Master Compacts which caters for our growing client base while still maintaining our excellent lead-times.

Our Laser Cutting Technology

We have two Trumpf 24kw L76 5030’s and three Trumpf 12kw L76 5030’s which run 18 hours a day, along with some lights out operation thanks to our Lift Master Compacts.

Trumpf fibre lasers are highly versatile sheet metal cutting machines that utilise the most up to date solid state lasers, enabling rapid and reproducible cutting particularly when laser cutting thin sheet metal.

Advantages of the Trulaser 5030

  • 24KW gives us 3 x processing speeds on certain thicknesses

  • The increased power of the 24KW enables us cut 40mm Mild Steel, 25mm Stainless Steel and 20mm Aluminium,

whilst retaining high quality edges and tolerances facilitating us to push the boundaries of our customer’s needs

  • Versatile machine dynamics, allowing for minimal part cost even for complex contours

  • 3 x 1.5 m sheet metal processed extremely quickly and economically

  • Cuts a wide range of materials and thicknesses to a superior finish

  • High laser power for the economical processing of thick sheet metal

  • TRUMPF also makes the processing of film-coated sheets possible

  • Smart nozzle automation ensures a high quality of nozzle – even in fully automatic operation

  • The nozzle design reduces nitrogen consumption by up to 70% – for twice the sheet throughput

  • Intricate cutting even in thick mild steel

  • Almost instant changes between materials and thicknesses, minimising downtime

The LiftMaster Compact

We utilise three Lift Master Compacts on two of our 12KW and one of our 24KW machine. This equipment aids our automation process by loading raw sheet metal for the laser to process, followed by unloading the cut components. This automation allows us to process parts at a quicker rate away from the laser, helping to reduce operator intervention.

This type of machine is best suited to high volume sheet metal, mostly used on mild steel 0.9mm to 10mm.
