Why choose laser cutting? - Precision

Precision

You can expect laser cut metal components with excellent edge quality and detail.
Our laser cut metal service is a more precise process than alternative CNC cutting methods, with less contamination of the final product and, for cutting many types of metal, uses much less energy.

Quality laser cut metal parts

Quality

We don’t compromise on raw materials or customer service.
Our customers return to us time after time because we offer quality laser cut metal parts at great prices and with great service.

What is laser cutting?

Laser cutting is a highly accurate cutting process which involves programming a high-powered laser to cut shapes out of various materials. The material being cut either melts, burns, vaporises or is blown away by a jet of gas leaving a high-quality edge finish.

How precise is laser cutting?

One of the main advantages of laser cutting is the level of precision, our laser cutting tolerances are +/-0.25mm, for 35mm and 40mm, our tolerances are + / -0.50mm, this is in line with ISO guidelines. The accuracy and consistency of laser cutting makes it particularly suitable for high-volume production as the last part cut will be identical to the first.

What is the largest part size you can laser cut?

Most of our materials are supplied in a maximum sheet size of 3000 x 1500mm, but the laser cutting process requires a 10mm border around the sheet, so the maximum part size we can laser cut is 2980 x 1480mm. Standard sheet sizes vary for some material grades, finishes and thicknesses and all materials can be affected by availability.
