Sheet metal bending

Superior bending capabilities to create multiple precise folds in your materials. We expertly transform flat sheets of metal into complex forms whilst maintaining excellent lead times.

Powered by trumpf

We have a 130T and a 170T press brake which are both able to bend up to 3-metres in length (2980mm). Our Trubends are equipped with ACB to guarantee accuracy and repeatability on our folding.

File types we accept

We have the capability to natively read and utilise the majority of 3D CAD files in order to create our customers’ parts. By employing 3D CAD files, we can guarantee that the parts we manufacture will precisely match our customers’ finished product as depicted in their 3D files.

We accept ACIS, Catia V4, Catia V5, 3DExperience, ProE/Creo, IGES, JT, Parasolid, Simens NX and much more.

Why choose Lasered?

We can bend an array of materials and provide CAD assistance to ensure your bend metal componets meet our quality standards.

Laser cutting is a highly efficient process that can quickly and accurately cut through various types of sheet metal. This results in faster production times and lower costs which we can pass onto our customers.

The team rigorously reviews our lean operational methods throughout, from point of quote to final quality checks without ever compromising quality, and to ensure great and consistent lead times. We strive to achieve above 96% for an on time delivery service every month.

Laser cutting can be used to cut a wide range of materials and grades, including stainless steel, aluminium, copper, RaeX, Corten, brass and more. This versatility makes it a suitable choice for various applications across different industries.

We have excellent relationships with our trusted material suppliers and focus on sourcing the best materials for the job. We house approximately between 500 and 700 tonnes on site at any given time to ensure our customers demand can be met without delay.

Laser cutting offers unmatched precision, allowing for intricate designs and complex patterns to be cut with minimal error. Our experienced team of Estimators and Auditors want to understand every project so that we can be equally invested in the small details as our customers are.
Laser cutting produces clean, burr-free edges that requires minimal post- processing. This results in high-quality components that meet the most stringent quality standards. We provide full traceability on our materials and operate transparently with full supplier documentation available.

Upon appointment, we can offer a full in-house tour of our Braintree, Essex site and an opportunity for customers to have a hands on learning experience in production. See our ACCREDITATIONS.

The Benefits of using a press brake on laser cut components

  • Precision and Accuracy: Laser cutting provides incredibly precise and accurate cuts, and when you fold the metal, you maintain that precision in the bending process. This ensures that the final components meet tight tolerances and specifications.

  • Complex Geometries: Laser cutting allows for the creation of intricate and complex shapes in sheet metal. Bending sheet metal enables the transformation of flat sheets into three-dimensional components without compromising the intricacy of the design.
  • High Productivity: Combining laser cutting with bending on the same site streamlines the production process, reducing the need for several suppliers, and reduces the lead time.
  • Cost-Effectiveness: By utilising mass production techniques, the cost per unit of laser cutting and bending sheet metal can be significantly reduced. Bulk material purchasing, streamlined manufacturing processes, and minimised setup and tooling costs contribute to overall cost savings, making it an economically viable option for large volume production.
