0.5mm to 8 mm

Sheet size maximum we can cut is 2980 mm x 1480 mm.

Part size maximum we can cut is 2980 mm x 1480 mm – with some exceptions.

Maximum sheet size for bending Copper & Brass is 1980 mm x 980 mm

Stainless Steels contain 10–20% chromium as their alloying element and are valued for high corrosion resistance. They are commonly used in medical equipment, piping, cutting tools, and food processing equipment.

Laser cut stainless steel provides a good edge quality, clean and ready for secondary processes such as welding.

316 stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, strong at high temperatures, and ideal for marine, chemical, medical, and food industry applications due to molybdenum content.
304 stainless steel is a non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant alloy with high nickel and chromium content, used in appliances, food processing, and construction.
430 stainless steel is a magnetic, corrosion-resistant alloy with a great finish, ideal for decorative, automotive, kitchen, and appliance applications.

Maximum Sizes 

The maximum sheet size for most materials is 3000mm x 1500mm, a 10mm border is required around the outside, so the maximum part size we can cut is 2980mm x 1480mm. There are exceptions to this rule – these are marked in the materials tables.

304 stainless steel

304 stainless steel is a non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant alloy with high nickel and chromium content, used in appliances, food processing, and construction.

316 Stainless steel

316 stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, strong at high temperatures, and ideal for marine, chemical, medical, and food industry applications due to molybdenum content.

430 stainless steel

430 stainless steel is a magnetic, corrosion-resistant alloy with a great finish, ideal for decorative, automotive, kitchen, and appliance applications.

Bending

0.5mm to 8 mm

Part size maximum we can cut is 2980 mm x 1480 mm – with some exceptions.

Maximum sheet size for bending Copper & Brass is 1980 mm x 980 mm

Protective Film

We can order stainless steel between the thicknesses of 0.9mm and 3mm with a protective plastic coating which is specifically designed for fibre laser cutting. This will help keep the A face of the product scratch free and will give some protection during the fabrication process.

We are able to order it for 4mm to 6mm but due to the cutting process it normally comes off.
