Distinctively yellow in colour, brass is an alloy produced from the combination of zinc and copper.
CZ108 is one of the most popular sheet and plate grades due to its hot and cold working capabilities. CZ108 is referred to as a basic brass containing 37% zinc, it is a high purity cold forming brass and is used where excellent bending properties are required. It can be machined but only at slow speed.
The maximum laser cutting sheet size for Brass is 1980 mm x 980 mm.
Brass
CZ108 offers good corrosion resistance with good cold heading properties. Machining properties are reasonable with very good bending properties. Laser cut brass sheet provides a good edge quality, clean and ready for secondary processes such as welding. The weldability of the alloy is excellent when soldering or brazing and oxyacetylene welding is also good.
