Learn more about Zintec

Zintec has a matt grey finish and is ideal for pressed products like car bodies, appliances, and construction. It needs extra protection in corrosive environments but works well for powder-coated sheet metal, electronics chassis, brackets, enclosures, and lighting gear trays.

Typically used for applications where it won’t be exposed to moisture and appearance is unimportant, Zintec is cold rolled, mild steel sheet which has been first electrolytically cleaned and then pickled to give it a clean, smooth oxide free surface. It is then coated with a uniform, electrolytic deposit of zinc or a zinc-nickel alloy, it is also known as Electric Zinc Coated Sheet (EZC)

Maximum Sizes

The maximum sheet size for most materials is 3000mm x 1500mm, a 10mm border is required around the outside, so the maximum part size we can cut is 2980mm x 1480mm. There are exceptions to this rule – these are marked in the materials tables.
