Full-time, permanent, weekly pay, Braintree based location

Early shift: 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri, 40hrs p/w
Late shift: 1:30pm-00:00am Mon-Thurs, 40hrs p/w

No overtime or weekend work required

What we do

We use laser cutting technology by directing the output of a high-power laser, by computer at the material to be cut. The material then either melts, burns, vaporises or is blown away by a jet of gas leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish. It then is dispatched to the customer.

Purpose of the Job

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of production by loading and unloading material on and off of a Laser.

To use laser cutting technology to ensure the best quality and finish of cut components and to keep machine maintenance in an excellent condition at all times.

Job Description

  • To aid in the operation of the Trumpf Fibre Optic Laser machine.
  • Loading and unloading of sheet metal products either by hand, sheet loaders or forklifts.
  • To perform quality, quantity and dimensional inspections on all parts produced on the laser.
  • To complete company documentation such as job cards via a Sigma MRP database system.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance as directed by a Senior Operative / Team Leader.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean work space and to abide by Health & Safety standards set by the company.
  • Any other duties designated by Management.

  • Ability to learn through on the job training, to take constructive direction and apply it to the role.

Desirable Attributes

Full Clean driving license, experience in Health & Safety Training, basic computer skills, excellent time keeping, located in Braintree or nearby, physically fit, keen attention to detail, a desire to learn by shadowing and on the job training, ability to listen and to take instruction and to use initiative with a can-do attitude.
